 Natural
Defense (formerly called "MSE Hypo Defense") is a purified and palatable
probiotic for pets with allergies and other special needs, for those
that experience stress on a daily basis, or for maximum control of
litter box odor (mainly ammonia). It can help control loose stools and
diarrhea, which are often a symptom of Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency
(EPI) and Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). MSE Natural Defense has also
been shown to reduce the symptoms of allergy in most dogs.
MSE Natural Defense contains the same
microorganisms as
MSE Daily Boost, but at 3 times the concentration. This product is
suggested for pets with chronic digestive disturbances such as Exocrine
Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI), Mega-esophagus and Irritable Bowel
Syndrome (IBS), and for those who may be suffering from chronic stress.
Like
MSE Daily Boost, it is also intended to be fed daily.
MSE Natural Defense is a purified and highly palatable probiotic for

respiratory illnesses, which are usually caused by chronic viral
infections, in both cats and dogs, and prevent the transmission of these
illnesses to new canine or feline additions to the family. If these
diseases are already present, be aware that stressful situations such as
vet visits or competitions are enough to make an asymptomatic pet sick.
To prevent the spread of upper respiratory viruses under these
conditions, use either
MSE Liquid or
Paste Rescue as a preventative or treatment.

MSE Natural Defense Soluable
for Dogs and Cats

 MSE
Natural Defense Soluble was especially developed for finicky
cats, although it can also be given to dogs. Unlike the original
MSE Natural Defense, MSE Natural Defense Soluble can be mixed
with water (1 part NDS:5 or 6 parts water), canned, raw or cooked
food without gelling. The main ingredient, salmon meal, has a
distinct fishy odor and has been demonstrated to be acceptable to
most cats. Some cats prefer MSE Natural Defense Soluble in
the dry form, and others preferred it mixed with water. Adding to
canned, raw, or home-cooked food will improve acceptance.
MSE
Natural Defense Soluble also contains NATURAL sources of
vitamins (alfalfa, barley grass, and carrot). Barley grass is
accepted by most cats.
Like
MSE Natural Defense, MSE Natural Defense Soluble also
contains pectin, but at a lower concentration. Pectin reduces litter
box odor and has been shown to reduce symptoms of allergy. If

MSE
Natural Defense Soluble also contains a small amount of
bentonite. Bentonite is finely ground clay that has been shown to
trap water, toxins, and viruses. It is the main ingredient in
Scour-aid. Bentonite has little smell or taste.
Do
not feed MSE Natural Defense Soluble to pets that are allergic to
salmon.
MSE Natural Defense
Soluble can be safely frozen. Freezing prolongs microbe
viability. However, repeated thawing and refreezing is not
