Lessons from the Miracle Doctors
.

Someone recently sent me this link for a free E book download pertaining to how to achieve a state of supreme health. I just thought that it was outstanding and wished to share it with you. It is well worth downloading or buying an extra print cartridge!

This book covers all the essentials about nutrition and the need to detoxify our bodies.  It is written in a very easy to understand way.  I hope you get as much from this as I have!

Warning Signs: Feline Urinary Track and Stress
.

Unfortunately, urinary tract problems are all too common in cats. Cats evolved as desert animals, so they don’t have a strong instinctive drive to drink water. This can result in the accumulation of minerals in the bladder and urethra, which may lead to the formation of crystals or stones.

Ask Dr. Jane - Garlic in Pet Foods
.

Dear Dr. Jane:  Why did you remove garlic from your dog and cat food formulas?

Dr. Jane's Answer:  Garlic is good for the immune system.  However, it has been shown to block iron absorption and can cause Heinz Body Anemia.  It breaks down the red blood cells.  Some dogs and particularly cats are very sensitive to garlic.  I will not use ANY ingredient that might potentially cause a problem in one animal.  So for this reason, I have removed it.

Pet Tip - Pet Insurance
.
If your pet is facing major surgery, vet pet insurance can help defray the costs. You'll be able to give the best possible care to your pet, without the worry of how you'll possibly pay the bills.
Neighborly Advice

We have a new interactive section on our blog called 'Neighborly Advice', where pet owners can respond with their own solutions to the problems other pet owners are experiencing.  You can also submit your own problem/dilemma and other pet parents can reply with some solutions that have worked for them.

This is not a substitute for medical or professional advice, but I've found one of the best ways to solve one of my own issues is through the suggestions of others who have been there.

How to Keep Your Kids Safe Around Pet Parrots
Have you ever heard that having a parrot is a lot like having a two-year-old child?   What do you suppose it’s like if you actually have a two-year-old child and a parrot?  Or a child of any age for that matter?

It’s hard enough having just kids or just parrots.   Mixing them takes things to a whole new level that can be on shaky ground.

As, parents we are responsible for kids and birds co-existing without un-due stress to anyone.

Featured Book - Cesar's Way
"The Natural, Everyday Guide to Understanding & Correcting Common Dog Problems."

Summary:   The author is the star of his own weekly series, Dog Whisperer. Dogwise recognizes that Cesar's methods are somewhat controversial and not everyone will agree with how he does behavior modification. Because of his popularity with the general public, however, we believe that his work should be made available to our customer base so trainers and others will be familiar with his techniques and philosophy.

8 Weeks After Joey Tore His Knee

I can’t believe it’s been 8 weeks since Joey tore his knee. It feels like it was yesterday. I spent all my time with him over the last few months, keeping him entertained and not wanting him to be lonesome for the other dogs. He really was pretty good overall, but there were a few times I thought we’d never get through this.
