In my efforts to find the perfect solution to keep fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and other nasty parasites from passing on their deadly diseases to my precious dogs, I was elated when I discovered there were actually products on the market that could do as I wished!

The companies claimed that their products, a tag-type device that would hang from a pet’s collar, is charged with something scientifically that would emit some kind of force that would place a "protective shield" or "protective barrier" completely around my dogs, which would keep all pesky critters from penetrating that space…so we’d be flea and tick free forever….well, for as long as these companies said their devices would be!

Into my mind pops the old saying, “If it’s too good to be true, then it’s NOT”…but these companies are telling me their product works...well, at least that’s what their websites say! Do I believe them? I really do want to believe this! Imagine if this were true…

The testimonials speak for themselves, but I have to question why these devices work for some animals and not for others! If their claim is true, and a there’s a shield around these animals, how did some bugs get in? Funny how, the deeper into the web I got, I found myself reading the same testimonials over and over on different websites! Were they even real? I really want to believe the good ones!

Oh, and the cute images and videos being used to “sorta” show us how their products work! Really??? But I want more…I want to see how their products work! Perfect example would be the mosquito repellant commercial I watched as a kid where an unprotected arm would squeeze through a tiny hole into a clear box loaded with live mosquitoes, and then a protected arm would repeat this process! It was clear, in simple black & white, that the protected arm wasn’t even touched by one mosquito.

When I had asked these companies for their proof to back up their claims, I was given very evasive answers or I was completely ignored! Hummmm

So begins my painstaking research, and what I discover shocks the life out of me! I’ve discovered that, scientifically speaking, it is impossible for ANY object to be charged with anything that would create a protective shield around any warm-blooded animal (or human, for that matter) that would protect them from any parasite! So, are you as shocked as I am about learning this?

Do I still want to believe these products work as these companies claim they do? You bet I do! Would I trust these products to keep fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and other parasites off my dogs? NOT in a million years!!!

All I’m asking you to do is be an informed consumer! ASK QUESTIONS!!! If you don’t get the answers you’re looking for, you should question further! If something doesn’t feel right, then it’s probably NOT right! It’s all about the animals first and foremost…at least this is how it is for me and my beloved 4-legged babies!
